Two children, teacher in Terengganu undergo quarantine after Kedah trip

Two children and a pre-school teacher of Taska Permata under the Terengganu Family Development Foundation (YPKT) are voluntarily undergoing home quarantine after returning from Aidiladha celebration in Kubang Pasu, Kedah. State Welfare, Women and Family Development, and National Unity Committee chairman Hanafiah Mat said the children and the teacher were not related to the Sivagangga Cluster, and the quarantine was just a precautionary measure taken after they have undergone health screenings at nearby clinics.

Terengganu now a green zone after final Covid-19 patient discharged

Terengganu is now free of Covid-19 and has been categorised as green zone, said state Health Director Dr Nor Azimi Yunus. He said this follows current developments of Covid-19 in the state, with the last positive patient discharged from hospital on Wednesday. He added that the 35-year-old patient from Kemaman was admitted into the Tengku Ampuan Afzan Hospital (HTAA) in Kuantan, Pahang on May 20 after being found positive for Covid-19.

Over 480 disinfection operations carried out in Terengganu

The Terengganu Fire and Rescue Department has conducted 486 sanitisation operations at public places to prevent the spread of Covid-19 in the state since March 30. Its director Md Hilman Abd Rashid said of the 486 operations, Kemaman district recorded the highest involving 130 locations, followed by Kuala Terengganu (116), Setiu (78), Dungun (72), Marang (38), Besut (30 ), Hulu Terengganu (12) and Kuala Nerus (10).
